TRANSPIRATION Groups: 2Assistant: Choirotin NisaAbstract Stomata are part on the epidermis of a plant organ consisting of a slit which is surrounded by special cells called guard cells. Stomata are very important to plants because the stomata pores is the site of gas exchange between the atmosphere and the water system with spaces between the cells that reside on the network mesofil under the epidermis. This lab course is aimed to know the influence of turgor against opening and closing stomata.Methods used from this lab course is to make a thin incision in abaksial leaf, then meletaknya on the glass object, given a 1 drop of water with the dropper drops, and then covered with a glass cover is then observed under the microscope whether stomata are in a State of open or close and then the number of stomata note opening and closing. After it was replaced with a solution of sugar water solution 50% by way of a shed on the side of the glass cover and suck it with a tissue and then observed a number of stomata open and close as well as recorded and compared.The results obtained from this teaching is the incision on the lower epidermis of the leaf Rhoeo discolor with water droplets diapatkan the number of stomata open as much as 23 and shut down as many as 6, while on a sugar solution 50% found the number of stomata which open up as much as 21 and close as many as 8.Keywords: Stomata, plants, Turgor pressure
