2.2.1. Pemisahan Bertingkat
Secara garis besar, separator dapat dibagi menjadi empat bagian umum, yaitu :
A. Bagian Pemisah Pertama
Bagian separator yang berfungsi memisahkan fluida yang masuk ke dalam separator melalui inlet, yang kemudian dengan adanya tekanan, fluida tersebut menumbuk plate yang terdapat di depan inlet yang kemudian terpisah antara liquid dengan gas yang masih berupa tetes liquid dengan ukuran besar. Prinsip kerjanya berdasarkan tekanan dari aliran fluida yang masuk ke dalam separator.
