Intertextuality is one theory that is used by the reader to gain significance in the process of reading a literary work. For readers who deal with text certainly met with the process of signification. In essence someone read to memberoleh something, whether it be information or meaning of the text they have read it. The theory of intertextuality was originally introduced by Julia Kristeva, a researcher from France revealed in (Culler, 1981: 104) that the amount of knowledge that can make a text that has a meaning, or intertextuality is inevitable, because each text depends, absorb, or change the appearance of the previous text.
