Seorang yang tidak berdoa adalah orang sombong
{وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ} [غافر: 60]

“Dan Rabbmu berfirman: “Berdoalah kepada-Ku, niscaya akan Kuperkenankan bagimu. Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang menyombongkan diri dari menyembah-Ku akan masuk neraka Jahanam dalam keadaan hina dina.” (QS. Al Mukmin: 60).

Asy Syaukani rahimahullah berkata, “Ayat ini memberikan faedah bahwa doa adalah ibadah dan bahwa menginggalkan berdoa kepada Rabb yang Maha Suci adalah sebuah kesombongan, dan tidak ada kesombongan yang lebih buruk daripada kesombongan seperti ini, bagaimana seorang hamba berlaku sombong tidak berdoa kepada Dzat yang merupakan Penciptanya, Pemberi rezeki kepadanya, Yang mengadakannya dari tidak ada dan pencipta alam semesta seluruhnya, pemberi rezekinya, Yang Menghidupkan, Mematikan, Yang Memberikan ganjarannya dan yang memberikan sangsinya, maka tidak diragukan bahwa kesombongan ini adalah bagian dari kegilaan dan kekufuran terhadap nikmat Allah Ta’ala. One who does not pray is a pompous{وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ} [غافر: 60]"And Perhaps said:" pray to me, undoubtedly will be Kuperkenankan to you. One who does not pray is the proud
