In this experiment a small ball is dropped into the liquid to be calculated viscosity numbers (see Figure 3.1). The first ball will be accelerated due to gravity, but because of the nature of fluid viscosity, then great pace will wane and eventually zero. At the moment the ball speed fixed and called the terminal velocity. The relationship between the speed of the terminal with the number of viscosity η can be obtained from Stokes Law:
