Pada suatu hari di dalam hutan,ada se ekor kancil sedang berlari-lari,si kancil lalu berpapasan dengan seekor siput di pinggir kali. sikancil yang sombong meledek siput, betapa lambannya jalannya si siput, betapa tak bisa cepatnya si siput berjalan.

Tetapi di luar dugaan si kancil, sisiput menerima tantangan itu.dan kedua nya pun membuat suatu perjanjian dan menentukan hari dimana keduanya akan lomba balap lari.

Si kancil sangat menantikan hari H perlombaan. Dan selama itu, siput membuat sebuah strategi,siput mengajak teman-teman siput yang lainnya untuk berkumpul dan menceritakan tentang tantangan si kancil kepada dirinya.Siput dan kawan-kawan siput yang lainnya sedang berdiskusi untuk bisa menang dan bisa mempermalukan si kancil.

Si kancil berlari kembali,dan begitu seterusnya,sampai akhirnya si kancil kelelahan dan menyerah kepada siput.
Penghuni-penghuni hutan pun terkejut melihat kancil menyerah balap lari dengan siput,
Ahirnya berkat strategi yang sukses si siput menang dalam lomba larinya.
