Di sebuah hutan Edelweisse, ada Kumbang, Larva dan Kupu-kupu, mereka adalah teman sejati. Kumbang adalah hewan yang sangat jahil, dia sering menjahili binatang-binatang lainnya, walau pun dia jahil tapi penyayang dan paling gagah, sedangkan Larva hewan yang setia kawan, tidak suka merusak kebahagian teman, sedangkan Kupu-kupu hewan yang paling indah.

Suatu hari saat Kumbang, Larva dan Kupu-kupu sedang bermain di pinggiran danau, ada segerombol semut yang menghampiri mereka bertiga.
“apa yang kalian perbuat di sini?” Tanya salah seorang prajurit semut.
“sedang bermain” jawab Kumbang dengan santai.
“hey siapakah dia?” Tanya sang prajurit semut itu sambil menunjuk salah satu dari mereka.
“dia adalah Larva, temanku” jawab Kumbang.
