Kinematika merupakan materi pokok mekanika sekaligus sebagai dasar mempelajari dinamika. Banyak penelitian yang mengungkapkan siswa sering mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep kinematika seperti posisi, perpindahan, jarak tempuh, kecepatan, kelajuan, dan percepatan. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan suatu desain pembelajaran yang mampu mengatasi kesulitan siswa pada materi kinematika.

Many studies that reveal the students often have difficulty in understanding the concept of kinematics as position, displacement, distance, speed, velocity, and acceleration. Therefore it takes a design able to overcome learning difficulties of students on the material kinematics.
