Kemudian, pada tanggal 4 Januari 2013saya memancing ikan bersama adik saya dan teman-temannya di daerah Berona, di sungai Sekadau. Hampir tiga jam memancing, kami tidak mendapatkan satu ikan pun. Ada satu ikan yang hampir didapatkan, tapi lepas saat ditarik.





Karena merasa belum puas, keesokan harinya kami memancing lagi di sungai Kapuas. Kali ini kami menggunakan perahu motor untuk memancing. Saya sangat terhibur dengan pemandangan yang ada di sepanjang sungai Kapuas yang kami lewati. Sungai ini sangat lebar ada yang lebarnya mencapai 700 meter. Kami memancing ikan di beberapa tempat di tepi sungai yang berbatu-batu. Sayang, kali ini pun kami belum beruntung. Selama hampir 5 jam memancing, kami hanya mendapatkan satu ikan kecil, namanya ikan juara. Tapi, bagaimana pun juga, pengalaman menyusuri sungai dengan perahu motor adalah hal yang menyenangkan.
