Menebang atau membakar hutan adalah penyebab kedua terjadinya banjir karena jika menebang atau membakar hutan dapat menghabiskan pohon atau lahan hijau kecuali jika menebang pohon setelah itu dilakukan reboisasi maka pohon tidak akan habis dengan mudah,tetapi jika membakar hutan maka akan sulit untuk mereboisasi kembali karena tanah disekitar akan terjadi erosi atau wilayah disekitanya akan jadi gersang,maka jika tidak ada tanaman air hujan yang turun tidak dapat diserap karena yang bertugas menyerap air hujan adalah pohon atau tanaman dan karena itu terjadi banjir.
