ada seseorang nelayan dan istrinya yang tinggal di gubuk tua. suatu hari nelayan itu pergi untuk memancing di laut. tiba tiba ia mendapatkan ikan yang sangat besar dan ikan tersebut dapat bicara, dengan rasa herannya si nelayan melepaskan ikan tersebut. saat nelayan pulang, ia menceritakan kepada sang istri. lalu istrinya berkata, "Apakah Anda tidak meminta apa-apa!" kata istri. "Tidak, aku tidak, apa yang harus saya minta ? "jawab nelayan.
"Saya terkejut Anda tidak menyadari apa yang harus anda minta. Kita hidup sangat miskin di sini, di pondok kecil ini. kita miskin dan saya sangat sengsara. anda harus meminta rumah mewah! anda harus kembali menangkap ikan itu!
