Hal yang disayangkan di sini adalah sampah yang berserakan di luar pagar kraton. Tempat sampah masih kurang banyak disediakan di luar kraton. Selain itu, orang-orang yang berjualan juga menyebar di mana-mana bahkan sampai ada yang berjualan di dekat kraton, di dalam pagar. Di depan kraton ada sampan-sampan yang disediakan untuk pengunjung kraton yang mau berkeliling di sungai depan kraton. Saya berada di kraton ini sekitar satu jam. Beberapa bangunan kraton yang memajang benda-benda pusaka dan warisan leluhur dipadati pengunjung. Tidak banyak informasi seputar sejarah kraton ini yang saya gali karena terlalu banyak orang yang berkunjung di sana. Saya sempat mampir ke salah satu makam sultan Sambas, yakni Sultan Mohammad Tsafioedin II.
