Padrao termasuk peninggalan sejarah yang langka dan sangat dihargai oleh sejarawan Portugis maka ketika Joaquim Moreira mulai bertugas di Indonesia, dia membawa sejarawan Portugis mengunjungi Museum Nasional dimana padrao tersebut disimpan. Ternyata petugas museum tidak tahu tentang padrao sampai akhirnya ada satu staf yang mengerti apa yang dimaksud dan membawa mereka masuk ke suatu gudang terkunci yang gelap dan sumpek dimana padrao itu digeletakkan begitu saja di belakang pintu.
