Tari Melemang merupakan tari tradis

Tari Melemang merupakan tari tradisional yang sebenarnya berasal dari Tanjungpisau Negeri Bentan Penaga, Bintan, Kep. Riau pada abad ke-12. Pada saat itu tarian ini hanya dipertunjukkan di depan keluarga Kerajaan Bentan saja dan dibawakan oleh para dayang kerajaan. Namun saat Kerajaan Bentan runtuh, Tari Melemang berubah menjadi sebuah pertunjukan rakyat.

Biasanya tarian ini dimainkan oleh 14 orang, yang masing-masing akan berperan sebagai raja, permaisuri, putri kerajaan, pemain musik, penyanyi, dan penari. Para pemain tersebut akan mengenakan kostum dan tata rias khas Melayu. Selama pertunjukan mereka akan diiringi oleh berbagai alat musik, seperti akordion, gong, biola, dll.
