Konflik bersenjata di Kosovo atau yang biasa disebut Perang Kosovo terjadi
sejak 28 Pebruari 1998 hingga 11 Juni 1999. Perang terjadi antara pasukan
pemerintah Yugoslavia melawan Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA). Salah satu yang
memicu terjadinya perang ini adalah pengurangan hak-hak warga mayoritas orang
Albania oleh pemerintah Yugoslavia (Boegrad)Perang ini mengakibatkan 13.517
korban yang sebagian besar tewas dan sebagian kecilnya dinyatakan hilang.
Dimana dari sekian banyak korban tadi, diantaranya adalah dari sipil. Perang Kosovo semakin memanas ketika North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) ikut ambil bagian dalam melawan pasukan pemerintah Yugoslavia yang dimulai semenjak 24 Maret hingga 10 Juni 1999.
