festival ogoh ogoh merupakan salah satu bentuk seni patung dalam kebudayaan Bali, yang melambangkan perwujudan Bhuta kala (raksasa ). selain wujud raksasa, ogoh ogoh biasanya dibuat dalam bentuk Dewa Dewi, Naga, gajah, babi, bidadari , bahkan tokoh tokoh terkenal seperti pesepak bola CR7.., dan ada pula yang mengambil wujud teroris. itu semua tergantung dari kreatifitas si pembuatnya….
Ogoh ogoh biasanya terbuat dari anyaman bambu yang dibuat sedemikian rupa, adapula yang menggunakan kawat jaring, dan ada juga yang memakai .Pawai ogoh ogoh biasanya dilaksanakan satu hari sebelum hari raya nyepi hari tersebut dinamakan hari tawur kesanga atau hari pengerupukan, tujuannya adalah untuk mengusir para bhuta kala agar tidak menganggu dalam perayaan nyepi keesokan harinya, tak jarang pula pawai ogoh -ogoh diadakan lomba, sehingga akan meningkatkan semangat dan kreatifitas dalam membuat dan mendesign ogoh – ogoh itu sendiri.
Dalam perlombaan ogoh ogoh banyak aspek yang dinilai sehingga ogoh ogoh tersebut memenuhi kriteria untuk menjadi juara , diantaranya adalah
