Ada suatu kisah, menceritakan tentang tiga orang yang terjebak di dalam goa. Di antar ketiga orang tersebut dalah satu orang yang bertawasul *berdoa dengan menggunakan perantara* kebaktian kepada kedua orang tuanya...
Dia berakata : “Ya Allah, aku memiliki orangtua yang sudah lanjut usianya dan aku tidak pernah memberikan minum kepada siapapun sebelum keduana minum, baik dari keluargaku dan hamba sahaya yang aku miliki. Pada suatu hari aku mencari kayu dan daun-daunan untuk makan ternak di tempat yang amat jauh. Aku belum bisa pulang menemui kedua orangtuaku hingga mereka tertidur. Setelah itupun aku masih memerah susu untuk keduanya, dan saat aku menemui keduanya untuk memberikan minuman tersebut ternyata kedua masih tertidur lelap. Aku tidak bisa membangunkan mereka dan memberikan minuman tersebut kepada siapapun sebelum kedua orangtuaku meminumnya, sekalipun untuk keluarga dan hamba sahayaku. Aku tetap menantikan bangun keduanya dengan gelas itu dan tetap ada di tanganku, hingga fajar menyingsing, di saat itulah anak-anak kamu menangis karena lapar. Maka, setelah keduanya bangun dari tidurnya lalu merekapun meminumnya. ‘Ya Allah, jikalau aku yang mengerjakan yang sedemikian itu dengan niat benar-benar mengharapkan keridhaan-Mu, makan lapangkanlah kesukaran yang sedang kami hadapi dari batu besar yang menutup ini.”
Kemudian batu besar itupun tiba-tiba terbuka sedikit.

Saudara-saudaraku sekalian yang dirahmati Allah...
Sepenggal kisah di atas patut kita teladani. Hal tersebut merupakan contoh nyata bagaimana seorang anak berbakti kepada kedua orang tuanya dengan cara tidak memberikan minum kepada siapapun sebelum orangtuanya minum.
Ingatlah bahwa “ridholloohi fii ridhol walidaini, wa sakhotullohi fii sakhotil waalidaini”. Keridhaan Allah ada pada keridhaan kedua orang tua, dan kemurkaan Allah ada pada kemurkaan orang tua. (hadits riwayat tirmidzi)
Islam adalah agama yang sangat menjunjung tinggi ajaran berbakti kepada kedua orang tua. Bahkan Islam menjadikan berbakti kepada kedua orang tua sebagai sarana meraih Syurga Allah. Sungguh sangat rugi dan celaka seorang muslim yang mendapati kedua orangtuanya masih hidup namun tidak bisa mengantarkannya kepada surga.
Banyak di antara manusia zmaan sekarang yang tidak lagi mau memperhatikan orangtuanya, meneleantarkannya, bahkan sampai ada yang mencelakakannya atau membunuhnya. Na’udzu billahi min dzalik...
Beberapa hal yang menurut kita sepele, yang berkaitan dengna kedurhakaan seorang anak kepada orang tua adalah sebgai berikut :
Pertama, membuat keduanya menangis dan bersedih, dengan cara apapun baik dengan ucapan maupun perbuatan.
Kedua, membentak keduanya dengan cara mengeraskan suara dan berkata-kata dengna kasar kepada kedua orang tua.
Ketiga, berkata-kata dengan “ah” dan kesal terhadap perintah ibunya.
Keempat, bermuka masam dan mengerutkan dahi di hadapan keduanya.
Kelima, memandang keduanya dengan pandangan penghinaan.
Keenam, memerintah keduanya.
Ketujuh, mencela makanan yang disiapkan ibu.
Kedelapan, tidak membantu keduanya dalam pekerjaan rumah.
Kesembilan, mencuri dari kedua orangtua.
Kesepuluh, menitipkan merak di panti jompo.
Dan masih banyak lagi....
