Dan diakhirnya cerita, kita mendengar bahwa Yesus juga memanggil Petrus untuk mengikuti Tuhan mewartakan Sabda Tuhan ke kota-kota lain. Tidak ada jawaban Petrus dalam cerita teks ini, tetapi dari teks sesudahnya kita bahwa Petrus mengikuti Tuhan untuk pergi mewartakan Injil. Petrus juga terbuka dan menyerahkan diri kepada Yesus untuk tugas pewartaan Injil.
