Sistem pelaporan di Rumah Sakit Islam Kendal sering terjadi keterlambatan. Keadaan ini akan mengakibatkan dampak bagi internal rumah sakit dan eksternal rumah sakit. Dampak yang dirasakan Rumah Sakit Islam Kendal berupa keterlambatan keputusan manajemen dalam penambahan ruang dan tempat tidur rawat inap. Laporan-laporan rekam medis tersebut juga dilaporkan kepada Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Kendal. Apabila terjadi keterlambatan penilaian Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Kendal terhadap rumah sakit akan kurang baik. Tujuan umum dari penelitian ini adalah Menganalisis penyebab keterlambatan pelaporan eksternal rumah sakit di Rumah Sakit Islam Kendal periode tahun 2013.
