Dalam bidang kepemimpinan, saya mengikuti pandangan yang lazim dari para ulama al-Azhar. Di antaranya Dr. Gamal Farouq, Dekan Fakultas Dakwah Universitas al-Azhar, bahwa dalam urusan publik, pemimpin yang lebih mampu memberikan pelayanan publik yang baik dan menyejahterakan rakyat harus diutamakan, meski dia non-muslim.

In the field of leadership, I follow the common view of the scholars of al-Azhar. In between Dr. Gamal Farouq, Dean of the Faculty of da'wah al-Azhar University, that in public affairs, leaders who are better able to provide good public service and people's menyejahterakan should take precedence, even though he's non-Muslims.
