Jumlah ataupun besar sinar-X yang dihasilkan oleh sebuah pesawat sinar-X sangat dipengaruhi oleh nilai tegangan tabung (kVp) yang diatur pada control panel. Tegangan tabung (kVp) berpengaruh terhadap keluaran sinar-X dan merupakan faktor utama yang mempengaruhi daya tembus sinar-X yang keluar (Bushong, 2001).
