Sehingga banyak pengusaha yang mengalami penurunan produksi bahkan mengalami gulung tikar.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana sudut pandang pengrajin mengenai makna aktivitas industri kerajinan manik-manik bagi kesejahteraan sosial keluarga pengrajin. Selain itu untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak dari munculnya produk manik-manik China bagi eksistensi pelaku usaha atau pengrajin.
Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian deskriptif digunakan untuk memberikan gambaran yang faktual dan akurat mengenai kondisi kesejahteraan sosial pengrajin manik-manik desa Plumbon Gambang Kabupaten Jombang. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dengan pengrajin dan hasil observasi yang dilakukan peneliti. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa instrumen manusia, yaitu peneliti sendiri. Untuk menjaga keabsahan data, dilakukan kegiatan triangulasi data. Kegiatan analisis data dimulai dari tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.
