Program studi studi yang memiliki kelebihan dosen dalam jangka waktu 2015-2016 memiliki dua karakteristik yang berbeda, PS Ilmu Komunikasi dan PS Agroteknologi memiliki kelebihan dosen selama jangka waktu tersebut, namun kebutuhan dosen ideal pada tahun 2015 dibawah standar minimal jumlah dosen tetap pada satu program studi, adapun untuk PS Pemanfaatan Sumberdaya Perikanan secara keseluruhan memiliki kelebihan dosen dalam jangka waktu tersebut, namun dosen ideal yang dibutuhkan lebih kecil dari prasyarat minimum kebutuhan dosen tetap yang harus dimiliki oleh program studi sebanyak 6 orang dosen tetap sebagaimana dijelaskan pada Kemdikbud No 49/ 2014 Tentang Standar Nasionalisasi Pendidikan Tinggi.
