Sampah-sampah yang berada di lingkungan rumah terdiri dari dua macam, sampah organik dan sampah anorganik. Kebanyakan dari kita masih banyak yang belum mengetahui perbedaan antara sampah organik dengan sampah anorganik. Sampah organik adalah sampah yang mudah membusuk jika dibiarkan seperti sisa makanan, sayuran, daun-daun kering. Sampah organik juga sampah yang dapat diurai (degradable) dan diolah menjadi kompos. Sedangkan sampah anorganik adalah sampah yang tidak mudah membusuk, seperti kertas, plastik, kaleng, dan sebagainya. Sampah anorganik juga tidak dapat diurai dan dapat dimanfaatkan untuk diolah kembali atau didaur ulang menjadi sebuah barang yang bermanfaat.


Seharusnya setiap rumah warga memiliki tempat sampah yang berbeda untuk memisahkan antara sampah organik dan sampah anorganik. Karena kebanyakan dari rumah-rumah jika tempat sampah sudah penuh, sampah-sampah akan segera dibakarnya. Padahal jika kita menjadi satukan sampah-sampah seperti plastik dan sejenisnya jika dibakar tidak akan hancur. Dan asap-asap dari pembakaran sampah tersebut akan mengakibatkan adanya polusi udara. Polusi udara tidak akan terjadi jika kita memisahkan sampah-sampah tersebut. Seperti daun-daun kering bisa dimanfaatkan untuk kompos, dan apabila kita tidak mengerti cara membuat kompos cukup ditimbun kedalam tanah dan akan membuat tanah menjadi subur. Dan sampah-sampah anorganik pun sebaiknya tidak dibakar, cukup dipisahkan dan jika masih bisa dijual seperti plastik botol, kertas-kertas tidak terpakai dan lain-lain sebaiknya dijual saja agar bisa menjadi lebih bermanfaat.

Like dried leaves can be used for composting, and when we do not understand how to make compost into soil and hoarded enough will make the soil fertile being. And trash-waste inorganic matter should not be burned, just separated and if it still could be sold like plastic bottles, unused papers and others should be sold only in order to be more useful.
