Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh sebuah fenomena yang menunjukan penurunan kualitas dalam dunia pendidikan sekarang ini. Banyak guru yang kurang menguasai kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi professional yang merupakan dasar dari proses pembelajaran. Kualitas pendidik yang masih rendah sulit untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang diinginkan. Untuk menghadapi tantangan tersebut guru harus secara terus menerus belajar sebagai upaya untuk mengembangkan kompetensi yang dimilikinya.
Rumusan masalah dalam penulisan tesis ini adalah: (1) Bagaimana deskripsi kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi professional guru dan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung? (2) Adakah pengaruh kompetensi pedagogik guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung? (3) Adakah pengaruh kompetensi kepribadian guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung? (4) Adakah pengaruh kompetensi sosial guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung? (5) Adakah pengaruh kompetensi profesional guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung? (6) Apakah kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi profesional guru secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung?
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui : (1) Untuk menganalisis deskripsi kompetensi profesional, kompetensi kepribadian guru dan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung. (2) Untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi pedagogik guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung. (3) Untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi kepribadian guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung. (4) Untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi sosial guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung. (5) Untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi profesional guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung. (6) Untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi pedagigik, kompetensi kepribadian, kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi profesional guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung.
Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Adapun yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa di MTsN se Kabupaten Tulungagung sebanyak 8 lembaga sekolah. Kemudian dengan teknik cluster sampling dipilih 3 lembaga sekolah dengan populasi sebanyak 2742 siswa. Jumlah sampel berdasarkan tabel Issac dan Michael dengan taraf kesalahan 5% yaitu sebanyak 317 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan instrument angket. Analisis data dan uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi sederhana (uji t), regresi berganda (uji F).
Dari hasil penelitian ini, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa : (1) Kompetensi pedagogik terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak di MTsN se-kabupaten Tulungagung termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata 93,55. Kompetensi kepribadian terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak di MTsN se-kabupaten Tulungagung termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata75,95. Kompetensi sosial terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak di MTsN se-kabupaten Tulungagung termasuk dalam kategori rendah dengan nilai rata-rata 45,00. Kompetensi profesional terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak di MTsN se-kabupaten Tulungagung termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata 50,70. (2) Prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak di MTsN se-kabupaten Tulungagung termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata 75,87. (3) Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kompetensi pedagogik terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak di MTsN se-kabupaten Tulungagung sebesar 23%. (4) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kompetensi kepribadian terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung, yaitu sebesar 79%. (5) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kompetensi sosial terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak di MTsN se-Kabupaten Tulungagung, yaitu sebesar 10%. (6) Terdapat pengaruh antara kompetensi profesional terhadap prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran akidah akhlak di MTsN se-kabupaten Tulungagung sebesar 12%.

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) To analyze the description professional competence, personal competence of teachers and student achievement in subjects Aqeedah Morals in MTsN se-Tulungagung. (2) To analyze the impact of pedagogical competence of teachers on student achievement in the subjects Aqeedah Morals in MTsN se-Tulungagung. (3) To analyze the effect of personal competence of teachers on student achievement in the subjects Aqeedah Morals in MTsN se-Tulungagung. (4) To analyze the effect of social competence of teachers on student achievement in the subjects Aqeedah Morals in MTsN se-Tulungagung. (5) To analyze the influence of professional competence of teachers on student achievement in the subjects Aqeedah Morals in MTsN se-Tulungagung. (6) To analyze the effect of pedagigik competence, personal competence, social competence and the professional competence of teachers on student achievement in the subjects Aqeedah Morals in MTsN se-Tulungagung. The research approach used in this research is quantitative correlational research type. As for the population in this study is all a students Tulungagung se as much as 8 school institutions. Then using cluster sampling method chosen three institutions with a school population of 2742 students. The number of samples based on the table Issac and Michael with an error level of 5% as many as 317 students. Data collected by questionnaire instrument. Data analysis and hypothesis testing in this study using simple regression (t test), regression (F test). From these results, the authors concluded that: (1) the pedagogic competence on student achievement in the subjects of moral theology in a MTsN Tulungagung districts included in the high category with an average value of 93.55. Personal competence on student achievement in the subjects of moral theology at MTsN se-Tulungagung included in the medium category with a mean value rata75,95. Social competence of student achievement in the subjects of moral theology at MTsN se-Tulungagung included in the low category with an average value of 45.00. Professional competence on student achievement in the subjects moral theology at MTsN se-Tulungagung included in the medium category with an average value of 50.70. (2) Student achievement on the subjects of moral theology at MTsN se-Tulungagung included in the medium category with an average value of 75.87. (3) There is a positive and significant influence between pedagogical competence on student achievement in the subjects of moral theology at MTsN se-Tulungagung by 23%. (4) There is a significant relationship between personal competence on student achievement in the subjects of moral theology at MTsN se-Tulungagung, which amounted to 79%. (5) There is a significant relationship between social competence of student achievement in the subjects of moral theology at MTsN se-Tulungagung, ie by 10%. (6) There is the influence of the professional competence of student achievement in the subjects of moral theology at MTsN se-Tulungagung by 12%.
