Wilayah pesisir di sepanjang jalur Pecatu – Uluwatu merupakan kawasan pantai berpasir putih yang tersembunyi terhalang oleh tebing-tebing yang menjulang tinggi yang menjadi ciri khas eksotisme pantai di wilayah ini.Pantai Balangan dapat ditempuh melalui perjalanan melewati kawasan Garuda Wisnu Kencana Hanya terdapat beberapa gelintir wisatawan yang terlihat di sini, mungkin karena lokasinya yang agak jauh dijangkau. Begitu juga warung-warungnya hanya beberapa buah saja. Pantainya berpasir putih dengan butiran kasar, dan di pesisir bibir pantai terdapat cukup banyak batu-batu kecil, jadi kalau jalan mesti hati-hati. Ombak yang besar tampaknya membuat sedikit orang untuk berani mandi di sini, dan tampaknya lebih banyak wisatawan yang bermain surfing di tengah laut. Pengunjung lebih banyak hanya menikmati pantai dengan berfoto-foto atau membuat rekaman video. Pantai Balangan adalah salah satu view point untuk menyaksikan eksotisme matahari terbenam, dari sudut capture yang berbeda.
