The impact of the rise in petroleum prices in the global market, making the price of kerosene in Indonesia as public consumption the most massive, and expensive step in the market. For it is necessary the presence of alternative energy one is the briquettes. By utilizing seed powder salak as mixed coconut shell briquettes making this research aims to know the value of heat contained on the briquettes as an alternative fuel. Treatment comparison variation of pollen seeds salak 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50% & by using the pressure of 50 kg/cm ² while printing and kalornya testing using a Bomb calorimeter. From the results of the research showed the value of heat treatment on the K1 (100%: 0%) is 6740,886 cal/gram and the best heat value as a result. While the heat value of the lowest is in the treatment of the K6 (50%: 50%) i.e. 2506,889 cal/gram. Decrease the amount of heat that is in getting treatment caused by the composition of the briquettes on the biorang, in other words the quality of thermal values in can be affected from this type of tampering with the ingredients of the bioarang and one of them is the result of the presence of moisture content in it.
