Kajian ini berupaya untuk menjelaskan tentang sejarah Tarekat Naqsyabandiyah-Khalidiyah Babussalam (TNKB) secara menyeluruh sejak awal berdirinya hingga saat sekarang ini. TNKB sebagai sebuah ordo spiritual memiliki pengaruh yang besar di kawasan Asia Tenggara, khususnya di dunia Melayu yang tersebar di Indonesia dan Malaysia. TNKB ini didirikan dan kembangkan oleh Tuan Guru Abdul Wahab Rokan (1926 M), seorang ulama Melayu asal Riau yang kemudian menetap hingga wafatnya di Langkat, beliau secara formal mendapatkan ijazah tarekat dari Sulaiman Zuhdi di Jabal Abi Qubais, Mekah pada tahun 1869 M.

This study attempts to explain about the history of Naqshbandi-Khalidiyah Babussalam (TNKB) thoroughly since its inception up to the present moment. TNKB as a spiritual order has a great influence in Southeast Asia, particularly in the Malay world in Indonesia and Malaysia. TNKB was founded and developed by Master Teacher Abdul Wahab Rokan (1926 M), a scholar of Malay origin Riau who then settled until his death in Langkat, he formally diploma orders from Sulaiman Zuhdi Abu Jabal Qubais in Makkah, in 1869 M.
