ASEAN Economic Community that will face by Indonesia in the end of year 2015 memiliki tantangan sendiri bangi masyarakat Indonesia. In my opinion, Indonesia sendiri masih harus berbenah diri dalam berbagai hal. Tantangan yang akan dihadapi Indonesia dalam menghadapi AEC adalah sumber daya manusia yang masih belum memadai. Sumber daya manusia yang masih belum memadai menjadi faktor penting yang harus dibenahi oleh pemerintah, karena sumber daya manusia sendiri merupakan peranan penting dari pelaksanaan AEC itu sendiri, apabila dari masyarakatnya sendiri belum siap untuk menghadapi AEC bagaimana program ini akan sukses nantinya? Selain itu infrastruktur juga menjadi faktor pendukung suksesnya AEC. Seperti yang kita ketahui bahwa banyak infrastruktur didaerah-daerah terpencil di Indonesia masih dapat dibilang buruk. Menurut saya bagaimana cara masyarakat didaerah terpencil tersebut dapat berkontribusi dalam pelaksanaan AEC apabila infrastruktur didaerah mereka masih belum memadai. Hal ini dapat membuat pendistribusian barang dan jasa tidak merata. Daya saing dalam negeri sendiri masih relatif rendah, banyak usaha-usaha menengah yang bangkrut akibat tidak kuat bersaing dalam pasar dalam negeri. Hal ini menunjukan kalau daya saing didalam negeri sendiri masih dapat dibilang rendah. Konsentrasi industri dan kegiatan perdagangan masih berpusat di pulau Jawa, dalam hal ini apabila Indonesia ingin sukses dam menjalankan AEC 2015, pemerintah sebaiknya memberikan penyuluhan didaerag-daerah agar kegiatan perdagangan tersebar keseluruh Indonesia, serta masyarakat Indonesia memiliki pendapatan yang merata, dalam artian tidak menimbulkan pertikaian. Ekonomi nasional masih bergantung pada komoditas primer.
