PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperbaiki keterampilan proses sains siswa di sekolah dasar. Hal ini disebabkan oleh keterampilan proses sains siswa yaitu bertanya dan mengkomunikasikan masih cukup rendah. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains di sekolah dasar khususnya pada Tema Lingkungan Sahabat Kita di kelas V dengan menerapkan pendekatan saintifik. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus dengan tindakan pada siklus pertama sebanyak dua tindakan dan pada siklus dua dengan satu tindakan menggunakan langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi tahap pra perencanaan, perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan monitoring, serta refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu lembar observasi aktivitas pendekatan saintifik guru, lembar observasi aktivitas pendekatan saintifik siswa, lembar observasi keterampilan proses menanya dan lembar observasi keterampilan proses mengkomunikasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik, keterampilan proses sains siswa mengalami peningkatan yaitu aktivitas guru pada siklus I pertemuan pertama terlaksana dengan presentase sebesar 66%, Siklus I pertemuan kedua sebesar 79%, Siklus II sebesar 81,5%. Sedangkan aktivitas siswa pada siklus I pertemuan pertama sebesar 55%, siklus I pertemuan kedua sebesar 60%.,Siklus II sebesar 70%. Untuk peningkatan keterampilan proses bertanya diperoleh siklus I pertemuan pertama jumlah skor rata-rata 12,16 (38%), Pertemuan kedua siklus I menjadi 18,28 (57%). Siklus II sebesar 22,72 (71%). Sedangkan pada proses keterampilan mengkomunikasikan siklus I pertemuan pertama jumlah skor rata-rata 8,68 (48,4%), pertemuan kedua menjadi 11,2 (56%). Siklus II meningkat menjadi 14,52 (72,6%). Rekomendasi dalam upaya peningkatan keterampilan proses bertanya dan mengkomunikasikan siswa dapat dilakukan penerapan pendekatan saintifik dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen, karena percobaan dapat melatih siswa berfikir kritis dan menjadi ilmuan cilik.

ABSTRACT THE APPLICATION OF THE SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TO IMPROVE SCIENCE PROCESS SKILLS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS By: Iis Aisyaturrodiyah 1202402This research was conducted to improve the skills of the process of science students in elementary school. This is caused by the process of science skills students i.e. ask and communicate is still quite low. Based on this, one of the efforts to improve the science process skills in primary schools in particular on the theme of Environment Friend in class V and applying the scientific approach. This research consists of two cycles with action on the first cycle as much as the two actions and two-cycle with a single action using the research steps include planning, pre planning phase of action, implementation measures, observation and monitoring, as well as reflection. Instruments used on this research activity observation sheet i.e. scientific approach of teachers, scientific approach to activity observation sheet student observation sheet skills, process of inquiring into and observation skills sheet process communicates. The results showed that the application of scientific approach, process skills science students experience increased activity i.e. teacher on cycle I first meeting concluded with a percentage of 65%, the second meeting I Cycle amounted to 79%, Cycle II of 81,5%.
