1. NGO in Indonesia<br><br>The definition of "international NGO" (INGO) is first given in resolution 288 (X) of ECOSOC on 27 February 1950: "any international organization which is not established on the basis of an international agreement". World Bank defines NGOs as "private organizations that carry out activities to relieve suffering, to reduce poverty, preserve the environment, provide basic social services, or undertake community development activities". In an important document World Bank, Working With NGOs, stated, "In a broader context, the term NGO can be defined as all non-profit organizations (non-profit organization) are not associated with the government.
