Proses knowledge management diantaranya yaitu:
a) Knowledge acquisition, adalah sebuah proses yang meliputi kegiatan pengumpulan dan aksesibilitas terhadap pengetahuan yang dibutuhkan. Hal ini juga mengacu pada bagaimana pengetahuan diperoleh dari berbagai sumber eksternal dan internal (Zaied, 2012).
b) Knowledge conversion, yaitu pengetahuan yang ditangkap dari berbagai sumber (baik internal maupun eksternal) perlu diubah menjadi pengetahuan organisasi untuk pemanfaatan efektif dalam bisnis (Lee dan Suh, 2003 dalam Mills dan Smith, 2011).
