Sejarah Klub Basket Los Angeles Lakers. Los Angeles Lakers merupakan klub bola basket dari Amerika Serikat yang berkompetisi di ajang NBA (National Basketball Association ). Klub ini bermarkas di Los Angeles, Californis. Dulunya klub ini bernama ‘Detroit Gems’ sampai akhirnya diganti nama menjadi Minneapolis Lakers di tahun 1947. Nama Lakers berasal dari nama sebuah kapal pengangkut kargo yang melalui Great Lakes.
Di tahun 1950, Lakers menjuarai kompetisi bergengsi NBA untuk yang pertama kalinya. Di tahun 1960 Minneapolis Lakers dipindah ke Los Angeles, akhirnya namanya diganti menjadi Los Angeles Lakers. Mulai saat itu, LA Lakers menjadi klub NBA yang pertama di daerah pantai barat. Musim terbaik Los Angeles Lakers diraih pada musim 1971 – 1972 saat itu klub ini memecahkan rekor NBA ( National Basketball Association ) dengan meraih 33 kemenangan berturut.
