M.Bayu Suwandi anak pertama dari orang tua bernama Morizon Suwandi dan Firmayetti.Anak pertama yang hobi bermain bola basket ini lahir tanggal 3 juni 1999 di Muaro Sijunjnung.Dia menghabiskan masa kecilnya untuk bermain di rumahnya yang terletak di depan wisma anggrek.Dia sering bermain bersama dengan adik dan tetangganya.Adiknya bernama Nesyia Litvia,dia sangat menyayangi adiknya,karena adiknya selalu menemani saat dia bermain di luar rumah.
Pada waktu indergarden,Bayu pindah ke kampung tempat neneknya,karena mama dan papa nya sibuk bekerja,jadi bayu diantar ke tempat neneknya yang berada di Batusangkar. Saat berada disana Bayu sudah pandai membaca iqra’ dan jago bermain bola,karena di dekat rumahnya ada lapangan bola, jadi bayu sering bermain bola bersama teman-temannya. Dan pada tamat TK bayu juga khatam iqra’.
Pada waktu SD Bayu kembali bersama orang tuanya di Sijunjung . Dia sekolah di SD 13 Muaro Sijunjung. Saat itu bayu sudah pandai banyak hal. Dia sering menjadi juara satu di kelasnya. Dan dia juga pernah mengikuti lomba Olimpiade biologi dan lomba sepak bola mewakili sekolahnya.
Tahun 2012 Bayu masuk SMP 7 sijunjung. Sekolah menengah pertama nya adalah masa-masa bahagia karena dia sudah pandai berpacaran. Waktu itu dia sibuk dengan berpacaran jadi nilai sekolahnya menjadi turun, dia hanya sanggup meraih juara 3 di kelasnya. Saat sekolah menengah pertama bayu banyak mengikuti lomba-lomba salah satunya lomba sepak bola (LPI) mewakili sekolahnya, dan pada waktu sekolah menengah pertama hobi bayu berubah menjadi bermain bola basket karena dia tidak ingin bermain sepak bola lagi. Sebelum tamat sekolah bayu juga sempat mengikuti lomba bola basket (Popda Sumbar 2014).
Tahun 2015 dia masuk SMA 1 sijunjung. Di awal sekolah nya sekarang bayu sudah bisa membawa nama harum sekolah nya. Dia mendapat juara 1 lomba bola basket di kabupaten. Dan pada saat ini dia berada di kelas X.4 SMA 1 Sijunjung. Dia bertekat untuk belajar dan berprestasi dengan serius dan tidak ingin berpacaran lagi.
