Abstract
Semakin beragamnya jalur diplomasi yang berkembang di dunia membawa dampak positif bagi suatu negara termasuk India. Jalur diplomasi yang dulunya hanya dikendalikan negara akan tetapi sekarang semua orang dapat terlibat langsung dalam proses diplomasi. Cultural diplomacy yang termasuk dalam track diplomasi publik telah digunakan oleh India dengan menggunakan film sebagai alat untuk memperkenalkan budaya mereka ke dunia internasional. Di Indonesia sendiri setelah tiga tahun yang lalu kita diramaikan dengan fenomena K-Pop di Tanah Air, kini masyarakat kita pun terpana oleh pop culture asal India. India-Indonesia, merupakan wajah kedua dan ketiga terbesar di Asia dalam hal populasi, mempunyai tantangan yang hampir serupa. Mungkin dilihat dari segi ekonomi keduanya masih dalam proses pembangunan, apalagi dengan porsi populasi yang besar, dan sebagian banyak masih tenggelam dalam kemiskinan tetapi dalam tren decade terakhir keduanya saling melepas dan memperkuat potensi ekonomi. India-Indonesia telah memeluk pasar ekonomi, apalagi keduanya sama-sama anggota G20. Tiap Negara yang melakukan pendekatan atas Negara lain tidak lain demi kepentingan nasionalnya sendiri. Bentuk Soft Diplomacy melalui demonstrasi budaya yang dilakukan India merupakan satu hal yang akan berpengaruh bagi Indonesia. Dan tulisan ini mencoba untuk melihat kepentingan nasional apa yang dibawa oleh India melalui soft diplomasinya kepada Indonesia.

AbstractThe various lines of diplomacy that evolved in the world brought a positive impact for a country including India. The diplomacy that was once only controlled the country, but now everyone can be involved directly in the process of diplomacy. Cultural diplomacy which is included in the track of public diplomacy has been used by India by using film as a tool to introduce their culture to the world. In Indonesia alone after three years ago we diramaikan with K-Pop phenomenon in our society, it is now too stunned by the pop culture of origin India. Each country's approach over another country's national interests for the sake of none other than its own. A form of Soft Diplomacy through the demonstration of the culture that made India is one thing that will effect for Indonesia. Shape Soft Diplomacy through demonstrations undertaken Indian culture is one thing that will be influential for Indonesia. And this paper tries to see what national interest taken by India through soft diplomacy to Indonesia.
