SNV is a not-for-profit internation

SNV is a not-for-profit international development organisation. Founded in the Netherlands nearly 50 years ago, we have built a long-term, local presence in 38 of the poorest countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Our global team of local and international advisors work with local partners to equip communities, businesses and organisations with the tools, knowledge and connections they need to increase their incomes and gain access to basic services – empowering them to break the cycle of poverty and guide their own development.

In agriculture, SNV works with smallholder farmers, pastoralists, forest-dependent communities and companies to provide innovative, market-based solutions to the issues of sustainable markets, food security and climate change. SNV is registered in Indonesia under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

SNV is implementing a Multi Country Nutrition Sensitive and Gender Aware Agricultural Project with the aim of developing an SNV model for future interventions. The Indonesia team will carry out an in country pilot project focusing on nutrition sensitive agriculture around existing SNV led interventions: in Lombok around coconut producing/harvesting communities and in TTU, in cassava growing areas. The pilot project, together with a National Nutrition study, will form the basis for future interventions. The project will run until the end of December 2015.

SNV is looking for an expert in both Nutrition and Agriculture to be based in Lombok NTB or TTU NTT. Frequent travel to the intervention areas is required.
