Abstrak
Sistem saraf merupakan jalinan jaringan saraf yang bekerja saling berhubungan antara satu dengan lainnya sehingga akan terjadi komunikasi diantara sistem – sistem lain didalam tubuh dan akan menghasilkan suatu kegiatan, mulai dari berfikir hingga menentukan keputusan. Tetapi semua kegiatan tidak dapat bekerja dengan baik jika seseorang mengalami gangguan atau cedera pada kepala, adanya perubahan kesadaran bahkan keadaan perubahan fisiologis. Kesadaran dapat dilihat dengan adanya perubahan respon seperti mata, pola pernapasan hingga respon motorik dan verbal. Tanda – tanda perubahan itupun dapat menentukan adanya lesi pada otak di bagian tertentu. Pemeriksaan tingkat kesadaran dapat dinilai melalui cara Glasgow Coma Scale(CGS)
