Flow line adalah pipa penyalur miny

Flow line adalah pipa penyalur minyak dan gas bumi dari suatu sumur menuju tempat pemisahan atau penyulingan.Flow line biasanya memiliki diameter 2-4 inch (tergantung pada kapasitas sumur). Agar aliran tidak kembali dalam sumur (back flow) maka pada setiap flow line dipasang sebuah check valve.
Untuk industri migas, flow line dibedakan berdasarkan :
1. Fluida yang dialirkan, seperti minyak, gas atau uap.
2. Material pipa stell pipe, non metalic, plastic, wood.
3. Tekanan kerja, pipa bertekanan tinggi, sedang, rendah.
4. Fungsinya, sebagai pipa lateral, gathering, pipa utama.
5. Penggunaannya, surface pipa , subsurface pipa dsb.
Dilapangan penempatan flowline tidak selalu terletak pada bidang datar tetapi disesuaikan dengan topografi daerah walaupun tetap diusahakan agar menempati posisi horizontal.
