Indeks Antropometri adalah pengukuran dari beberapa parameter. Indeks antropometri merupakan rasio dari suatu pengukuran terhadap satu atau lebih pengukuran. Untuk mengkaji status gizi secara akurat, beberapa pengukuran secara spesifik juga diperlukan dan pengukuran ini mencakup Umur, BB (Berat Badan), TB (tinggi badan),Lingkar Kepala, BMI atau IMT (Indeks Masa Tubuh),Berat Badan Relatif (BBR), dan Rasio Pinggang Panggul (LPP), Lingkaran Perut, Lipatan Trisep, LLA dan LOLA.
Untuk pengukuran anthropometri pada lansia digunakan pengukuran yaitu :
a. Umur (Tahun)
b. BB (BeratBadan)
c. TB (tinggi badan)
Jika seorang lansia masih sehat dan dapat berdiri tegak maka pengukuran tinggi badan dapat dilakukan dengan mikrotoise. Namun apabila seorang lansia tersebut sudah tidak dapat berdiri tegak diperlukan alat untuk mengukur tinggi badan yaitu tinggi lutut dan panjang depa
