Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease characterized by inflammation, increased reactivity against a variety of stimuli, and airway obstruction that could return spontaneously with or without appropriate treatment. Priority treatment of asthma has so far shown to control the symptoms. The treatment has been carried out effectively to lower morbidity because keefektivitasan is only reached if the precision of drugs to patients have been appropriate. The effectiveness of the therapy of asthma can be controlled with the unknown or whether asthma attacks experienced by patients. Assessment of asthma control can be done using questionnaire Asthma Control Test (ACT). This research was conducted to find out the description of the therapy, fitness therapy based on Global Initiative For Asthma (GINA) and the effectiveness of the therapy by using a questionnaire (ACT) in a special Hospital Pulmonary Respira Yogyakarta region UPKPM Kalasan. This research is observational research with cross sectional design and data collection carried out retrospectively with sampling purposive sampling basis that meets the criteria for inclusion. The type of the data being used is the primary data i.e. live interview to the patient by using a questionnaire and secondary data, namely data record patient medical asthma. The research results obtained imagery therapy is often given on the patient's asthma is a combination of Salbutamol and Aminopilin therapy on the patient's degree of mild persistent asthma, fitness therapy based on GINA i.e. 41% or 21 of the patient is not appropriate and 59% or 30 patients accordingly. The effectiveness of asthma questionnaires of the ACT i.e. rated 67% (33 patients) uncontrollable or therapy is not effective, 33% (5 patients) asmanya controlled or the effectiveness of the therapy well and there were no patients who get a highly effective antiasma therapy.
