Hadis ialah segala tingkah laku Nab

Hadis ialah segala tingkah laku Nabi Muhammad , baik berupa perkataan , perbuatan , maupun ketetapannya . Hadis merupakan sumber hukum Islam yang kedua setelah Al-qur'an . ALLAH telah mewajibkan kita agar menaati hukum-hukum dan perbuatan-perbuatan yang disampaikan oleh Nabi Muhammad . Sebagaimana dijelaskan oleh firman ALLAH dalam Qur'an Surah AL-HASYR ayat 7.

artinya :
Dan apa yang diberikan oleh Rasul kepadamu maka terimalah dan apa yang dilarangnya bagimu maka tinggalkanlah.

Fungsi Hadis sebagai sumber hukum Islam yang kedua adalah sebagai berikut.

1. Memperkuat hukum-hukum yang telah ditentukan oleh Al-qur'an sehingga keduanya menjadi sumber hukum.
2. Memberikan rincian dan penjelasan terhadap ayat-ayat Al-qur'an yang masih bersifat umum. Misalnya Al-qur'an memerintahkan Shalat , Zakat dan menunaikan ibadah Haji , tapi semuanya itu masih bersifat umum , karena dalam Al-qur'an shalat tidak dijelaskan jumlah rakaat dan bagaimana cara melaksanakannya.
3. Menetapkan atau menjelaskan hukum yang tidak didapati di dalam Al-qur'an. Misalnya cara menyucikan bejana yang dijilat anjing dengan membasuh 1 kali , salah satunya dicampur dengan tanah.

GOD has required us to obey the laws and acts delivered by the Prophet Muhammad. As explained by the word of GOD in the Qur'an Al-Hashr verse 7 means: And what is given by the Apostle to you then accept and what he forbids you then leave. The function of the Hadith as the second source of Islamic law which is as follows. 1. Strengthen the laws that have been determined by the Qur'an so that they become a source of law. 2. Give details and explanations of the verses of the Qur'an are still common. For example, the Qur'an ordered prayers, Zakat and Hajj, but everything was still general, because in the Qur'an prayer unspecified number of cycles and how to implement them. 3. Define or explain the law that are not found in the Qur'an. Such as how to purify vessel licked by a dog by washing one time, one of which is mixed with the soil.
