Reaktualisasi Pancasila semakin menemukanrelevansinya di tengah menguatnya paham radikalisme, fanatisme kelompok dan kekerasan yangmengatasnamakan agama yang kembali marak beberapa waktu terakhir ini. Saat infrastruktur demokrasiterus dikonsolidasikan, sikap intoleransi dan kecenderungan mempergunakan kekerasan dalammenyelesaikan perbedaan, apalagi mengatasnamakan agama, menjadi kontraproduktif bagi perjalananbangsa yang multikultural ini.
