Maternal and infant mortality rate in Indonesia is not something foreign. Thus, it is getting the attention of the government. Currently, the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia shows the number 288 deaths in every 100,000 live births. It encourages MDG (Millennium Development Goals) targets have 102 deaths in every 100,000 live births in 2015. The target can be derived through a number of ways, such as health promotion related to how to cope or reducing the MMR, improved health services, especially health centers and neighborhood health center, check pregnant mother's womb in order to know the progress of the baby well, births assisted by professional health workers, immunize newborns in accordance with the procedures and empower the community about the importance of health.
