Prediksi meningkatnya jumlah mahasiswa baru pada tahun 2016 dapat didukung oleh beberapa hal berikut : 1) sebagian besar program studi di Universitas 45 Mataram sudah terakreditasi B, 4 dari 6 program studi sudah terakreditasi B, 2) adanya kepercayaan pemerintah melalui Kopertis Wilayah 8 dalam memberikan Beasiswa Biaya Pendidikan Mahasiswa Miskin Berprestasi (Bidikmisi) kepada Universitas 45 Mataram khususnya bagi program studi dengan akreditasi B sejak tahun 2012, 3) adanya surat edaran Menteri Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi Republik Indonesia Nomor 04 Tahun 2013 Tentang Pemberian Tugas Belajar dan Ijin Belajar Bagi Pegawai Negeri Sipil serta penerimaan pegawai dan karyawan dengan mengutamakan lulusan program studi minimal akreditasi B.
