FORMING ( pembentukan ) . fase ini merupakan fase awal di mana keadaan ketidak pastian akan tujuan , struktur , dan kepemimpinan kelompok harus dihadapi.

STORMING ( merebut hati ) . fase ini dicirikan oleh adanya konflik intra kelompok . anggota menerima keberadaan kelompok tetapi menolak pengendalian kelompok oleh individu tertentu.

NORMING ( pengaturan norma ) . fase ini menggambarkan adanya perkembangan hubungan dan kelompok menunjukkan adanya kohesi ( kepaduan).

PERFORMING ( melaksanakan ) . fase ini memperlihatkan fungsi kelompok berjalan dengan baik dan diterima oleh anggota.

ANJOURNING ( pengakhiran ) . fase ini merupakan fase terakhir yang ada pada kelompok yang bersifat temporer , yang di dalamnya tidak lagi berkenaan dengan pelaksanaan tugas-tugas tetapi dengan berakhirnya rangkaian kegiatan.
