Pada penelitian ini, penulis akan merancang suatu sistem kendali otomatis suhu, kelembaban dan intensitas cahaya yang tidak terlalu bergantung pada kondisi cuaca. Sistem ini dirancang menggunakan beberapa jenis sensor, mikrokontroler dan keluaran. Prinsip kerja dari sistem ini adalah mendeteksi kondisi suhu, kelembaban dan intensitas cahaya diluar ruang prototype lalu memberikan kondisi ideal baik suhu, kelembaban dan intensitas cahaya didalam ruang prototype. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kondisi ideal baik suhu, kelembaban dan intensitas cahaya bagi tanaman hari pendek. Dimana tanaman hari pendek ini memiliki spesifikasi penyinaran 11- 15 jam[10].
