Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas komik biologi sebagai media belajar mandiri siswa SMA/MA kelas XI pada materi sistem saraf manusia menurut reviewer I, reviewer II dan tanggapan siswa.
Penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (R&D) menggunakan model 4-D yaitu: define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Data diperoleh dari instrumen berupa angket hasil Review tahap I oleh 3 dosen ahli materi, dan 1 dosen ahli media; Review tahap II oleh 3 orang guru biologi SMA N 2 Semarang dan 2 orang guru biologi SMA N 1 Semarang; untuk selanjutnya diberi tanggapan oleh responden 6 orang siswa SMA N 2 Semarang dan 6 orang siswa MA N 1 Semarang kelas XI IPA. objek penelitiannya adalah komik biologi, dan variabel penelitiannya aspek kualitas komik biologi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komik biologi materi sistem saraf manusia dilihat dari aspek kelayakan isi/materi, aspek kebahasaan, aspek kelayakan penyajian, dan aspek kegrafisan berdasarkan penilaian oleh ahli media telah memenuhi kriteria sangat baik, serta berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, guru dan persepsi siswa telah memenuhi kriteria baik. Secara umum, siswa memberi komentar bahwa komik biologi yang disusun membantu dan memudahkan siswa dalam mempelajari materi sistem syaraf yang sukar dipahami, isi sesuai pembelajaran di sekolah, gambar dan warnanya bagus menjadi sarana menghilangkan kejenuhan.

In General, students commented that comics biology compiled help and facilitate students in learning the material of the nervous system that elusive, fill in the appropriate learning at school, nice colour pictures and be a means of saturation.

The results showed that the comic biological material of human nervous system from the aspects of feasibility content / material, aspects of language, presentation feasibility aspects, and aspects kegrafisan based on the assessment by media experts have met the criteria very good, and based on expert assessment of materials, teacher and student perceptions have met both criteria. In general, students commented that the comic biology prepared to help and facilitate students in learning material elusive nervous system, in accordance contents learning in school, drawing and color is good to be a means to eliminate saturation.
