b. Gelas ukur diisi dengan air hingga setengah bagian dan diletakkan di atas kaki tiga tanpa ada pembakar
c. Temperaturnya diukur, kemudian dicatat sebagai temperature mula-mula (T0)
d. Bunsen pembakar dinyalakan dan tunggu beberapa saat hingga nyalanya terlihat normal
e. Bunsen pembakar tadi diletakkan tepat dibawah gelas kimia bersamaan dengan dijalankan stopwatch
f. Perubahan temperature yang terbaca pada termometer dicatat tiap selang waktu 1 menit
