Revisi Daftar Negatif Investasi 2016 juga menghilangkan beberapa hal, antara lain mengeluarkan 35 bidang usaha dari daftar; menghapus keharusan rekomendasi atas 83 bidang usaha di bidang hiburan seperti hotel, billiard, golf, rekreasi; serta mengurangi atau mengatur kembali komposisi saham penanaman modal asing. Diharapkan, dengan berbagai kemudahan baru dan kebijakan baru yang telah ditetapkan melalui perubahan daftar negative investasi 2016 ini, bisnis investasi di Indonesia bisa mendongkrak pertumbuhan ekonomi sebagaimana yang telah ditargetkan oleh pemerintah.
