SMA Negeri 1 Semarang dibangun anta

SMA Negeri 1 Semarang dibangun antara tahun 1936 – 1938 dan diresmikan tahun 1939. Keberadaan SMA Negeri 1 Semarang tidak lepas dari Sejarah Kota Semarang. Bangunan ini merupakan pengembangan dari HBS V ( Sekolah Zaman Belanda) yang telah didirikan sebelumnya Jalan Pemuda ( SMU Negeri 3 Semarang) diresmikan oleh Gubernur Hindia Belanda Tjarda Van Starkenborg Stahoudi, yang ditandai dengan pesta kembang api yang meriah tahun 1939.
